In his memoir Hope Not Fear, 35-year-old Mr. Akkad shared a detailed account of his encounter with the actress and model, a book which received significant promotion from Ms. Watson on her Instagram UN book club in 2021.
During their midday meal together, onlookers spotted Ms Watson giving him a warm hug.
The couple went on a romantic evening at the upscale Italian eatery Cecconi’s, known for its pricey starters that can go for as much as £23.
As they exited the restaurant, Mr. Akkad was spotted holding her bottle of water.

They were later spotted getting into Mr. Akkad’s Skoda SUV.
Since 2017, they have shared a strong bond of friendship, but Mr. Akkad mentioned to the Mail that Ms. Watson is “way out of my league.”
